System requirements

The Digital Breathing Machine software runs under the Microsoft Windows version of the LabVIEW data acquisition system from National Instruments. This is not supplied with the machine but is easily available from National Instruments. Alternatively, compiled driver software not requiring a LabVIEW licence can be supplied at a small extra charge.

The data acquisition card is usually supplied with the machine, though other compatible National Instruments cards can also be used.

A new version of the machine is now available that uses a USB interface, replacing the need to open the controlling computer and install a PCI card, replacing this with the simple requirement for a standard USB 2.0 port.
